NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER
Overview
As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and driving strategic initiatives within existing customer accounts and targeting new customers to accelerate top line growth across our product lines. This role is a part of the Retail Sales team and represents a broad portfolio of products. You will develop and lead market strategy recommendations both internally and externally, helping drive profitable distribution.
The candidate will negotiate contracts, build relationships with existing and potential new customers, and seek opportunities to generate margin and support business growth. Successful candidates will leverage their existing customer relationships, technical expertise, and retail market knowledge to elevate our customer portfolio.
You will work cross functionally with our Procurement, Demand Planning, Product Lifecycle, Operations, R&D / Quality, and Category Insights teams to devise successful solutions and processes that are built to drive sales. This role requires a team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adaptable to change.
This is a full-time role (Bentonville, AR – Home Based) with travel up to 50%

What You'll Do
- Dynamic thought leader that will create retail go-to-market strategies on both branded and private label offerings delivering volume and revenue growth.
- Collaborate directly with key stakeholders to architect and nurture a robust new business pipeline.
- Manage the complete trajectory from concept to rollout of opportunities.
- Build and create joint business planning models for customers.
- Proactively develop and implement annual business plans across top customers.
- Delivering key business and financial metrics including topline results (Revenue, Volume, Share) and key financial metrics (e.g. EBITDA) is required.
- Leverage syndicated and customer specific data creating fact based selling model to drive results.
- Provide key insights to deliver all key execution metrics (Assortment, Pricing, Merchandising and Innovation).
- Develop and leverage top level relationships at major accounts to optimize positioning in the market.
- Understand market trends, pricing, risk management, and commercial landscape for edible beans and pulses.
- Provide SIOP and Forecasting direction monthly across customer base to Demand Planning team to ensure flawless execution via OTIF.
- Utilize business intelligence data including sales reporting, demand planning / forecasting, syndicated data, customer insights, and OTIF reporting to drive key selling stories as part of overall strategic planning with our customers and distributors.
- Manage and coordinate broker and distribution partners as needed.
- Understand market trends, pricing, risk management, and commercial landscape.
- Manage key customer portal processes and procedures including but not limited to Trace One, Global Data Sync, Customer Specific Portals, and more.
- Experience developing, planning and leading strategic customer initiatives.
- Experience calling on ingredient and industrial customers.
- College degree required.
- Excellent data analytical and organizational skills, ability to create insightful presentations and business cases to drive results.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components and think through optimal solutions.
- Self-starter mentality with a high degree of follow-through; can own and take strategic initiatives to completion.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred.
- Experience calling on mass and retail customers is a requirement.
