What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Sterilization Tech position at Tebo Dental Group?
Tebo Dental is a well-established and privately-owned children & teen and orthodontic group with locations just north of Atlanta, GA in the cities of Lilburn, Dacula, Gainesville, Peachtree Corners, and Cumming. We are looking for motivated, team- oriented, and dedicated professionals who are eager to make a long-term commitment to growth within our company.
Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate dental instruments, materials and equipment
- Collection, preparation and organization of dental trays, instruments and equipment for scheduled dental visits
- Sterilize dental instruments and materials using the ultrasonic and autoclave
- Perform light equipment maintenance and repair
- Report on equipment and instrument failures and/or misplacement
- Inventory of sterile dental supplies and instruments to determine re-ordering needs
- Maintain OSHA compliance
- Dispose of sharps as mandated by OSHA
- Perform and report on weekly spore testing of autoclaves
- Maintain updated MSDS forms that are accessible to staff
Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Strong attention-to-detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
- Ability to travel between office locations is preferred
- Available to work part-time or full-time between Monday-Friday
