Mechanical Engineer - Mission Critical

Position Overview
Lead the design and technical systems for complex, large-scale projects, ensuring seamless progression from schematic design through construction administration.

Core Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Act as Discipline Team Leader on major projects.  Must have mission critical facilities experience.
• Code Compliance & Documentation: Conduct and document required code research and maintain a Mechanical Basis of Design Journal throughout the project lifecycle.
• Client Interaction & Communication: Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours and attend meetings as needed.
• Construction Administration: Review submittals and interpretations during bidding and construction, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
• Team Oversight: Direct and oversee discipline-specific team members, monitor quality, and prepare project status reports.

• Mentor junior engineers to build leadership skills.
• Identify and implement quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensure: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and PE license required. LEED Accreditation is a plus.
• Experience: 5 years of experience in the A/E industry, with expertise in all project phases and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Skills: Proficiency in CADD software, excellent communication, team leadership, and organizational abilities.

Ability to travel to project sites for client and construction meetings.
