What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Engineer position at TEC Group, Inc.?
This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering position centered around evaluating customer specifications and developing process flows to produce high-quality automotive products. The ideal candidate will have experience in:
- Automotive product interpretation and process development
- Joining technologies (e.g., welds, SPR, TOX)
- Ergonomic and cycle time evaluation
- System layouts and equipment selection
- Working with simulation tools for process verification (robotics and throughput)
- Familiarity with manuals, spare parts, and equipment validation
This position requires extensive design & manufacturing expertise as well as an understanding of equipment cost for evaluation purposes. Assists on all aspects of Processing, which include Process Development, System Layout, Process Verification, Product / Process change impact, cycle time analysis, ergonomic evaluations, joining requirement (weld, SPR, TOX, etc..) staging, joining equipment selection and validation, Spare Parts, Documentation and Manuals, progress reporting, quoting and estimating. Interprets automotive product drawings and manufacturing specifications.
Key Soft & Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical and mathematical ability (advanced math concepts)
- Strong written and verbal communication (technical writing presentation)
- PC proficiency (Excel, Word), ability to interpret technical drawings
- Understanding of safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices
- Familiarity with processing equipment and automotive assembly lines
Education
Associates degree from a two-year college or university or technical school; or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary : $30 - $40
