The technician will install and maintain Fiber Optic Cables as and when required, provide technical assistance in designing and testing the fiber optics, and support existing laser and optical fiber devices and systems.

They work both inside and outside and are responsible to take care of the installation, troubleshooting and other technical aspects. Must have knowledge of various electronic components and computer operating systems, including routers and other networking equipment.

Experience and understanding of cabling various electronic components. Must have basic knowledge of the operation and application of electrical components and common measurement instruments. They must have hands-on experience to work with hand and power tools.

Qualifications :

• Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems and ensure that they work properly. Familiar with OTDR testing
• Install, troubleshoot access controls, cameras, cat6 and fiber optic devices.
• Examine and replace faulty and old cabling infrastructure and organize scheduled maintenance routines
• Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas
• Develop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections to make sure that faulty communications systems do not destabilize its performance
• Execute premises cabling and take care of the underground and underwater cabling requirements
• Keep track of the signal strength of different devices such as television and telephone to provide adequate performance
• Formulate and maintain system records and system designs
