BASIC JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for utilizing their connections with local, statewide, and national leadership to help TEC meet the Company’s goals. This role will help shape policy and create a culture of partnerships, not competition, while assisting TEC to grow its footprint.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Identify key areas of opportunity that make financial sense for TEC to consider and pursue
- Find, research, and suggest projects, joint ventures, potential targets, and other partnership opportunities
- Utilize local statewide and national relationships like USF and NDIA to guide policy and legislation that impacts TEC
- Leverage professional relationship with the state broadband office to ensure TEC is well represented in the industry
- Assist TEC in public perception campaigns and events to showcase the company as a major player in all aspects of the telecom industry
- Develop relationships and partnerships within the communities that the Company serves
- Serve as representative for the Company in local, state, and federal groups and associations
- Host executives and customers in business and social settings
- Identify industry threats and risks and develop plans to combat them
- Actively support the COO on strategic initiatives
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Special projects as requested by the COO or other departments which would be of a nonrecurring nature
- Other duties that may be assigned
Job Qualifications:
Education/Experience – Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required. This position requires a minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience at a director level.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – The candidate must possess a solid understanding of industry specifics and business strategies. Requires superior interpersonal skills as well as excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
