Overview for the Tool Maker :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool Maker to join our team. As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for creating, repairing, and maintaining various types of tools used in manufacturing processes. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Duties for the Tool Maker :
- Design and build precision tools using CAD / CAM software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Setup, operate and maintain various machining equipment such as a surface grinder, vertical mill, and engine lathe machines as well as a heat treat oven.
- Troubleshoot die issues at the punch press machine
- Assemble, calibrate, and test tools to ensure proper functionality
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy
- Repair and modify existing tools as needed
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize tool designs
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
