Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 technical support for desktop and Mac systems, including hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to desktop and Mac environments in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, software applications, and utilities.
- Perform system upgrades and migrations for desktop and Mac platforms as necessary.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of desktop and Mac systems with network infrastructure and enterprise applications.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all support activities, including troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
- Assist with the development and implementation of desktop and Mac support policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide end-user training and guidance on the proper use of desktop and Mac hardware and software.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in desktop and Mac technologies and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a desktop support role, with a focus on Level 2 support.
- Proficiency in supporting both Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of desktop hardware components and peripherals.
- Experience with desktop imaging and deployment technologies (e.g., SCCM, JAMF).
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other directory services.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) a plus.
