What are the responsibilities and job description for the End User Support Engineer position at TECEZE?
End-User Device Management:
- Install, configure, and manage end-user devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices) across different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Maintain and monitor devices for performance, security, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on end-user devices.
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI):
- Implement and manage VDI solutions (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps, and Desktops).
- Administer virtualized desktop environments and ensure users have access to necessary applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any VDI-related issues.
Application Support & Deployment:
- Support the deployment and maintenance of software applications used by end-users.
- Ensure that applications are up to date and patched for security compliance.
- Automate application deployment and manage software distribution platforms.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security policies for end-user devices, including encryption, antivirus, and malware protection.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with organizational security and data protection policies.
- Troubleshoot security issues and vulnerabilities on end-user devices.
User Support and Training:
- Provide support for end-user incidents, including issue resolution and escalation to appropriate teams if needed.
- Document and provide training materials or sessions to help users with common issues and tools.
Collaboration with IT Teams:
- Work closely with other IT teams (network, infrastructure, security, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of end-user devices with enterprise systems.
- Participate in IT projects related to device management, application rollouts, and VDI improvements.
