We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to design, assess, and implement high-performance network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cisco networking equipment, network security, data center architecture, and network automation. This role requires hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Implementation:
- Experience in network design, assessment, and implementation.
- Designing new network infrastructure from scratch.
- High-level network strategy, roadmap planning, and consulting services.
- Architecture-level decisions for hybrid cloud or multi-cloud networking.
- End-to-end network transformation projects.
- Procurement, delivery, and installation of Cisco ASR, Nexus switches, firewalls, load balancers, or other networking equipment.
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment (Cisco ASR, Cisco Nexus) – CCNA/CCNP certifications preferred.
- Deep understanding of MPLS, BGP, OSPF routing protocols, including VXLAN.
- Experience in enterprise network connectivity, WAN, internet, and cloud connections.
- Optical fiber deployment and structured cabling projects.
Data Center & Security Infrastructure:
- Physical rack-and-stack, cabling, power installation, and environmental setup in data centers.
- Onsite hardware replacement, upgrades, and RMA handling.
- Managing physical access and security controls at data centers.
- Experience working on data center architecture (ACI, Spine & Leaf, flat vs. hierarchical).
- Power, cooling, rack layout, and physical security management.
- Migration of on-premises data center networks to the cloud.
- Deployment and configuration of security appliances such as firewalls, IDS/IPS.
- Security policy design, governance, and regulatory compliance audits.
- Compliance assessments for PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
Enterprise Networking & Load Balancing:
- Deep understanding of LAN Technologies, switching protocols, VLANs, and Spanning Tree Protocol.
- Experience in NAC (Wired & Wireless) – Cisco ISE.
- Experience with load balancer technologies such as F5, Citrix NetScaler.
- Full-scale load balancing strategy, configuration, and deployment.
- Advanced traffic optimization on F5, Citrix NetScaler.
Network Automation & Cloud Connectivity:
- Good to have network automation scripting skills such as Python/Ansible.
- Full-fledged network automation development beyond minor scripting tasks.
- Creation of Ansible playbooks and Python scripts for large-scale automation.
- Custom API integrations with third-party tools.
- CI/CD pipeline implementation for network automation.
- Direct management of AWS, Azure, or GCP networking components.
- Cloud VPC peering, VPN setup, and hybrid networking solutions.
Vendor & Incident Management:
- Liaising with ISPs, cloud providers, or third-party vendors for circuit provisioning.
- Negotiating contracts or SLAs with service providers.
- Handling escalations with Cisco TAC, F5, or Citrix NetScaler support.
- Security Incident Response (SOC-level activities).
