Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician II to join our team at TECfusions. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical facilities infrastructure supporting IT compute environments.
You will work closely with our facilities management team to ensure the smooth operation of our data center campus, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing/piping equipment, machinery, and controls. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine planned and reactive maintenance and repairs on critical facilities infrastructure.
- Monitor operations, assess building systems operations, and report status to facilities management team.
- Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls and perform all operations and maintenance protocols meeting safety, maintenance, and operations standards.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment, commercial utilities plant operations, or equivalent technical training and/or experience.
- 8 years of experience with advanced understanding of electrical or mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations.
- Virginia State Certification Master Mechanical/HVAC with CFC recovery certification.
