Job Responsibilities :
- Writing, editing, and managing task teams of publishing personnel to publish documents.
- Analyzing and evaluating information to design and create effective, high-visibility communications with intended audiences, ensuring that critical deadlines are met.
- Developing and upholding SRS standards of quality and reputation.
- Creating effective, high-visibility SRS communications.
- Designing, creating, writing, editing, and publishing materials related to SRS activities.
- Researching, analyzing, and evaluating raw technical information related to SRS activities.
- Compiling, consolidating, analyzing, evaluating, and researching materials submitted for publication.
- Educating, consulting, and marketing Publication Services to customers.
- Determining and matching customer needs with available resources.
- Consulting with organizations and personnel involved in submitting, processing, and distributing classified materials.
Work Hours : A 40 hour work week is scheduled. CLIENT utilizes various work schedules including 5 / 8s (8 hour / day; five days per week), 4 / 10’s (10 hours / day; four days per week), and 9 / 80’s (9 hours / day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB). Work week excludes CLIENT holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.
Required Qualifications : Education & Experience
Education & Experience / Skills : BS / BA in Technical Communications, English, Business or related discipline and 5-7 years related experience. OR AS and 8-10 years related experience OR 10 years directly related experience. Education and / or experience in a technical field desirable. Understanding of and ability to communicate technical information required. Knowledge of publications process / electronic publishing; technical expertise of SRS processes. Use of mark-up techniques, layout design, templates, and desktop publishing computers / software. Excellent verbal and writing skills.
