What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hybrid Hospitality Tech Lead - Entry Level position at Tech Cleaning App?
Location: Austin, TX (Must Be Local)
Job Type: Part-Time, Potential for Full-Time
About Us
We are a tech-forward, fast-growing company that connects independent cleaners with short-term rental jobs. Our business thrives on precision, attention to detail, and high cleaning standards. This role is about ensuring properties are truly guest-ready by identifying what others might miss, training cleaners to meet those expectations, and using technology to track performance.
You should be highly tech-savvy, comfortable using MacBook, Google Docs, AI tools, Monday.com (project management), and dashboards to document issues, provide feedback, and track cleaner performance. You will also need strong communication skills to provide clear, professional, and constructive feedback to cleaners—helping them understand and correct any missed details.
This role offers a hybrid work schedule—eventually allowing you to work from home and go directly to spot checks. However, the first three weeks will be in-office training (9 AM – 3 PM), with some days requiring on-site spot checks at properties.
What You’ll Do
- Perform Spot Checks: Drive to properties across Austin to inspect completed cleaning jobs and ensure they meet hospitality standards.
- Identify Issues & Provide Feedback: Check for missed details and professionally communicate necessary improvements to cleaners in a clear and supportive manner.
- Train & Coach Cleaners: Teach new hires exactly what guest-ready means, document progress, and ensure quality stays high.
- Use Tech to Track Performance: Work with MacBook, Google Docs, AI tools, Monday.com (project management), and dashboards to document issues and track cleaner performance.
- Act as a Liaison: Communicate between the company, cleaners, and property hosts to ensure smooth operations and problem-solving.
- Work Independently & Proactively: Stay on top of inspections and feedback without needing constant direction.
What We Offer
- $2,500 monthly compensation
- $150 gas stipend per month
- Opportunity for full-time promotion (with pay negotiation after 60–90 days)
- Hybrid schedule—work from home with spot checks required as needed
- Three weeks of structured office training (9 AM – 3 PM), including field visits to properties for spot checks
- A chance to grow with a tech startup and gain hands-on experience in quality control, operations, and hospitality
What You Must Have
- Must be located in Austin, TX—this position requires local travel
- A reliable personal vehicle—you will be driving to different locations for spot checks
- Tech-savviness—comfortable using MacBook, Google Docs, AI tools, and our dashboard (Monday.com)
- Excellent communication skills—you will train cleaners and provide clear, constructive feedback in a professional and supportive manner
- Attention to detail—you must be able to identify and correct small cleaning mistakes that could impact guest satisfaction
- Availability as needed for spot checks and additional property visits
- Reliability and professionalism—this role is for someone who takes ownership of their work and ensures quality stays high
