Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test network cables (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber optic, etc.) in commercial and residential environments.
- Perform site surveys to assess cabling needs and provide accurate estimates.
- Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues related to cabling.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, including diagrams and documentation.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and project managers to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to clients during and after installations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Network Cable Installer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network cabling standards and best practices.
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment for cable installation and testing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
