Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Laser CNC Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision components for structural steel projects. Experience with ProNEST software is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor CNC laser and waterjet cutting machines to produce high-quality steel components.
- Set up machines, including loading and unloading materials, aligning workpieces, and adjusting settings for optimal performance.
- Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine cutting requirements.
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards and specifications by performing regular inspections.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to optimize cutting processes and improve efficiency.
- Utilize ProNEST software for nesting and programming cutting paths (preferred but not required).
- Maintain organized records of production data and machine performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator, preferably with laser cutting machines.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and machine setup.
- Experience with ProNEST or similar nesting software is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
