Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing and preparing cost estimates for structural steel projects by utilizing job boards such as the Dodge Report and Construction Connect. This role is essential for securing projects and ensuring competitive and accurate bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and blueprints to determine project requirements.
• Utilize job boards like the Dodge Report and Construction Connect to identify bidding opportunities.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel projects, including materials, labor, and other associated costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimate.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and subcontracted work.
• Track and analyze project costs, ensuring accuracy and profitability in all bids.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in structural steel or construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of job board platforms such as the Dodge Report and Construction Connect.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and building codes is a plus.
