Tech Frontier dba Fab Lab El Paso is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Workforce Manager with expertise in workforce development, digital skilling, and technical training. This individual will oversee programs that empower participants with 21st-century skills, supporting career advancement and regional economic development.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Workforce Manager will lead program design, delivery, and evaluation efforts while collaborating with local industry partners, educational institutions, and community organizations. This role requires strategic planning, curriculum evaluation, instructor management, classroom facilitation, and direct interaction with program participants to foster skill-building and career readiness.
Responsibilities:
Program Development and Delivery:
- Design and implement workforce development programs, including curriculum framework development, syllabus evaluation, and skills assessments.
- Facilitate engaging workshops, training sessions, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Leverage emerging technologies and tools to enhance training outcomes.
Community Engagement and Partnership Building:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations.
- Identify workforce trends and align program offerings with regional economic needs.
- Serve as a liaison between Tech Frontier and key stakeholders.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Track program outcomes and participant progress through robust data collection and analysis.
- Regularly evaluate and refine program effectiveness based on participant feedback and industry standards.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with instructors, program staff, and volunteers to support program goals.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on workforce trends.
- Support organizational initiatives that align with Tech Frontier’s mission and vision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Have 2 years of education, research, or management experience in Workforce Development, Economic Development, Startups/Entrepreneurship, and/or related fields.
- Skilled in developing and delivering training for adult learners, focusing on digital and technical skills.
- Have experience working with diverse populations, including underserved communities.
- Are knowledgeable about current trends and best practices in workforce development and digital skilling.
- Possess excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy building partnerships with local stakeholders.
- Are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all program participants.
