Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) or Part-Time (25-35 hours per week)
Salary: $35,000 - $40,000 per year (Full-Time) | $12 - $15 per hour (Part-Time)

We’re a fast-paced, customer-first repair shop looking for a Repair Technician to join our team and help deliver exceptional repair services.

Job Summary

As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, computers, and game consoles. You will work directly with customers to provide repair solutions while ensuring high-quality workmanship and efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevice Repairs:

• Diagnose and repair phones, tablets, computers, and game consoles.
• Perform screen replacements, charge port repairs, battery replacements, internal cleanings, and hardware fixes for all supported devices.
• Handle computer repairs, including hardware upgrades, software troubleshooting, virus removal, and internal cleanings.
• Conduct game console repairs, including power issues, HDMI port replacements, hard drive replacements, and other internal hardware fixes.
• Follow Tech Guru’s SOPs for pricing, check-in, and check-out to ensure accurate work orders.

Customer Service & Communication:

• Provide clear, non-technical explanations of repair issues and solutions to customers.
• Maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with customers.
• Accurately document all repairs and customer concerns in the ticketing system.

Operational & Quality Control:

• Ensure all repairs meet Tech Guru’s quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist with inventory management, ensuring parts are stocked and documented correctly.
• Follow warranty and RMA procedures for defective or replaced parts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Passion for technology and willingness to learn repair techniques.
• Basic computer troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Windows/macOS.
• Ability to use resources to narrow down issues and troubleshoot effectively.
• Customer service experience and strong communication skills.
• Experience using a ticketing system for repair tracking (preferred but not required).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but a Plus!):

• Experience in phone, tablet, and computer repair (iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel, Windows, macOS).
• Experience with game console repair (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo).
• Familiarity with POS Systems
• Any certifications related to electronics repair or IT troubleshooting.

Work Schedule & Benefits:

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week | Part-Time: 25-35 hours per week
• Hours: 8:45 AM - 8 PM, shifts vary Open 9am - 7pm in Grand Forks, and 12pm - 8pm in East Grand Forks
