- Work Location : Hybrid role based in Dallas, TX or Miramar, FL (a combination of onsite and remote work).
The Role :
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the overall quality of systems and technology that are released into ETP's production environment. The scope of this role includes the comprehensive aspects of quality including testing documentation, planning and execution of testing, testing validation, and obtaining approval using both manual processes and automated tools that are available in the SGWS environment. In their role, Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring the product meets business requirements and overall business objectives by tracking and reporting quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status, as well as documenting problems and communicating the issue to development staff to assist in their resolution
Responsibilities :
Serve in a team leader capacity with large-scale platform testing (SAP, JDA, etc.)Lead the implementation, build-out, or expansion of automated testing toolsCoordinate and schedule testing programs with project and program teamsReporting testing outcomes to project stakeholdersCoordinating the work of 3rd party Quality Assurance teamsPerform quality and testing audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality and testing standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed properly and consistentlyIdentify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities for SGWS quality assurance programsReview 3rd party testing programs to ensure quality and compliance standards with SGWS practicesUnderstand various programming languages (ABAP, Java, C#, Perl, Python, etc.) and deployment tools such as Turnover, QGM / Solution Manager, as well as DevOps and CI / CD practicesIdentify test data requirements and work with other teams as needed to create and maintain test dataExecute tests, both manual and automated, including documentation of test results and defects, assist in defect troubleshooting and resolutionAssist in the implementation and maintenance of software testing toolsCreate, run, and maintain reports to measure and track testing metricsParticipate in test automation, including framework design, script development and maintenanceStay up-to-date on software application testing tools and QA best practicesDeliver quality and testing process training to IT staff and project teamsPerform quality and testing audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality and testing standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed properly and consistentlyCoach others, mentor peers to help them build capabilitiesImprove the efficiency of QA team, mitigate team conflicts and communication problemsMotivate team members to work collaboratively and effectivelyPlan and document succession planning within scope of responsibilityReport HP ALM QA metrics and testing status to project and application team membersSupport integration testing cycles through performing test scripts, coaching SAP super users and possible defect resolutionMinimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree (computer science, information systems, business administration or other industry related curriculum) or combination of education and equivalent experience4 plus years serving as a Quality Assurance Analyst or business analyst2 plus years experience with QA Testing tools such as Talend Data Quality, QuerySurge, Informatica, IBM InfoShere or similar Data Services QA testing tools4 plus years strong SQL skillsUnderstanding of cloud technologies like Azure or AWSExperience in Microfocus ALM or Microsoft TFS or Version One management toolsUnderstanding of Application Programming Interface (API) along with mutli-system integrations4 plus years experience in testing Data Warehouse technologies, Tableau and Business Objects reporting toolsStrong team player with willingness to collaborateStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong capability to execute tasks with qualityProficient oral and written communication skillsGood time management skills (i.e. works efficiently)Strong attention to detailStrong decision-making skillsExperience executing a testing with large-scale platforms (SAP, JDA, etc.)Experience working with automated testing toolsExperience coordinating and scheduling testing teamsExpertise with software application test planning, execution and related testing toolsExperience working with testing teams that are located offshoreAbility to demonstrate Agile delivery valuesOpenness – Team and stakeholders agree to be open about all work and challengesCommitment – Personally commit to achieving the goals of the teamRespect – Respect your team members to be capable and independentCourage – You have courage to do the right thing and work on tough problemsFocus – Everyone focus on the work in the sprint and the goal of the scrum team.
