TMB, Inc has an exciting opportunity for an Sr. Ship Induction Specialist to provide support to Team Ships Front Office (TSFO).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to the Corporate Operations Directorate within Team Ships, encompassing the Program Executive Office for Ships (PEO Ships) and the Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization, and Sustainment Directorate (SEA 21) within the Naval Sea Systems Command.
- Provide a wide range of representational, liaison, design, planning, execution, program assessment, and documentation development support in the management of the Surface Ship Milestone Ceremony Program, executive level internal corporate events and operations, and historical research and archive management efforts related to the life cycle of Team Ships platforms and programs.
- Provide ceremony planning/execution, public affairs, protocol, congressional, communications, strategic alignment, and program management/analysis support for DON/DOD programs.
- Represent the Navy with a wide community of interest including interacting with senior level DOD officials such as Program Managers, Senior Executives, Flag and General Officers, and Presidential Appointees; DON Congressional, Public Affairs, and Communications specialists and liaisons; federal, state and local representatives; representatives from organizations affiliated with Naval history and heritage; and ship sponsors, namesake families, and namesake communities.
- Will be involved with protocol, public affairs, internal and external communications, writing, and the development of ceremonial and communications related documentation (invitations, programs, press releases, articles, etc.).
- Conduct process improvement analysis and drafting and implement Navy-wide policy related to ship acquisition ceremonies/life cycle events.
- Identify priorities and align resources to meet emergent requirements in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in providing ceremony planning/execution, public affairs, protocol, congressional, communications, strategic alignment, and program management/analysis support for DON/DOD programs.
- Must possess an in-depth understanding of U.S. Navy customs and traditions.
- Experience interacting with senior level DON/DOD officials.
- Master’s degree in Communications, Organizational Management, English, or related fields of study.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.
- Remote eligible.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and graphics support systems.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
- Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
