Role: Microbiology Tech I
Location: Columbus, OH - 43215
Duration: 12 Months
Shift Timings: Sunday-Wednesday 10pm - 8:30am (OR) Wednesday-Saturday 6pm-4:30am
Job Description:
· Will assist a daily team of Technicians by collecting samples, test in-process samples, and finished samples.
· Media making
· Daily water collecting and testing.
· Will make and record observations.
· Preform simple calculations.
· Help in support functions; stocking and distributing supplies, collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
· Other tasks as needed.
Skills:
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Microsoft Office skills
· Ability to multitask
· Aseptic technique
· Microbiology background
· Previous lab experience
Education:
· Associate degree with at least 2 years lab experience (experience can be college lab work).
· Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Food Science straight from college.
· Manager will consider candidates graduating soon.
· 0-2 years relevant experience.
· Willing to take a recent grad or soon to graduate.
· Master’s degree is overqualified.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
