Job Summary
We seek a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our team at a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical imaging services, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients while maintaining the highest standards of care. This position requires expertise in various imaging modalities and a strong understanding of emergency medicine.
Schedule Notes 2 FTEs 5 days a week shifts vary based on department needs with weekend & weekday on-call requirements.
Duties * Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neurointerventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist * Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines * The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases * The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist * The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures * Strong communication skills using closed loop communication * The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load * Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologist, and vascular surgeons * Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system * Groin management post intervention * Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment * BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures * Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in above JD.) * This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities. Skills 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.
Education Required Education: High School Diploma/GED. Associate degree. OR -Completion of accredited radiographic program.
Certifications & Licensure: NJ radiographic licensure. BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures. Current Radiography (R) certification with ARRT.
