We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) / Medical Technologist (MT) to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting complex laboratory tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires expertise in various laboratory disciplines, including microbiology, hematology, chemistry, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret a variety of laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols.
- Analyze samples of blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids to detect abnormalities and ensure accurate results.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Adhere to quality control and quality assurance standards to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Maintain and document all laboratory findings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, COLA, and state regulations).
- Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education to stay updated with the latest laboratory practices and technologies.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory specimens and hazardous materials.
Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology), AMT (American Medical Technologists).
