RN Med/Surg

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise in medical terminology and acute care will be essential in delivering effective nursing services.

Duties

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status and medical history.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
• Assist with catheter care, cardiac catheterization, and other specialized procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred. Associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program
• NYS RN License BLS, 2 years of Medical Unit experience, Min 2 years RN experience

Pay: $57.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.50 per week
