Surgical Tech

2 years of experience is currently required in large OR. Ortho, ENT, and/or vascular experience a plus. Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Summary

As a Surgical Tech, you will be integral to the surgical team, assisting in various procedures and ensuring a sterile environment. Reporting to the lead surgeon, your core skills in cardiac catheterization, specimen collection, and basic life support will be essential in supporting patient care. Your knowledge of medical terminology and hospital experience will enhance communication and efficiency in the operating room. Additionally, your premium skills in laboratory techniques and aseptic practices will contribute to the overall success of surgical operations, making you a vital asset in delivering high-quality healthcare.

Surgical Technologist Responsibilities:

• Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
• Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
• Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
• Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
• Tracking surgical supplies.
• Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
• Working well with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and the general surgical team.
• Helping provide great patient care.

Surgical Technologist Requirements:

• Experience with instrumentation.
• Current BLS/BCLS.
• Strong understanding of surgical technology and surgical procedure.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Passionate about patient care.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
