Description :
- Wireless Commission is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in telecommunications, public safety communication systems, and network design. This individual will play a key role in developing an executive summary, compiling budget estimates, and drafting an RFP for a statewide communications network project consultant. Key Responsibilities : developing a high-level executive summary outlining options for integrating and upgrading existing statewide communication systems compile budget estimates based on current and projected project costs coordinate with stakeholder, including state legislators and commission members, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals write and refine an RFP for hiring telecommunications system consultant ensure compliance with state procurement processes and best practices work closely with legal and procurement teams to finalize documentation assess current infrastructure including existing MPLS, microware, and fiber networks, to identify integration opportunities provide high-level technical guidance on network design, IP-based solutions, and secure data transmission systems prepare detailed reports and presentations for commission meetings, including cost-benefit analyses and project updates serve as a liaison between the AFRWC and vendors, suppliers, and other state agencies present findings and recommendations to the commission during quarterly meetings support the executive director in building relationships with legislative and governmental stakeholders;;
Experience Preferred :
Previous experience in project management of a Public Safety Communications System
