Job Title : Hardware Engineer

Location : Cedar Rapids, IA (Onsite from day 1)

Duration : 11 months contract with possibility of extension

Note : Due to nature of the project, we need only USC for this role. (Secret Security Clearance preferred)

Exp Range : Minimum 5 years

Job Details :

• Design and implement high-reliability electronic systems, including PCBs, embedded systems, and power electronics.
• Lead and perform all aspects of circuit card design lifecycle activities, including requirements capture, schematic capture, component selection, signal integrity analysis, simulations, timing analysis and thermal analysis.
• Generate PCB layout constraint guidelines, routing instructions, creation of board stack up and oversee the routing, layout, fabrication, and assembly of complex designs.
• Creation of test plans, root cause analysis, and testing of electronic circuits and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during development and testing phases.
• Design circuit cards using FPGA, processor, and DDR memory components, as well as industry interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, I2C, USB, LVDS, and SERDES bus technologies.
• Work collaboratively with team members and independently on assigned tasks.
• Utilize schematic capture tools for the creation of circuit card designs, such as Siemens Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and / or Xpedition, Altium, Cadence Allegro, EAGLE, KiCAD, etc.
• Familiarity with Agile for Hardware Development, including planning, tracking, and managing hardware development projects in JIRA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Hardware Verification and Validation of high-level and low-level requirements complying with DO-254 standards.
• Compliance with industry standards and regulations, including DO-254 and DO-160.
• Experience working with requirement management tools like IBM Doors, Jama.
