Job Description:
An iOS developer is responsible for developing applications for mobile devices powered by Apple's iOS operating system.
As a iOS you are joining a multidisciplinary team of product managers, designers and engineers who create digital products that hundreds of thousands of people experience every day. You must have a strong and continuously growing proficiency in iOS application development with Swift and Objective-C. This includes actively participating in designing, developing, reviewing, unit testing and releasing apps for iPhone and iPad to drive our digital products. The ideal candidate has a passion for code and putting the customer first and delivering an exceptional experience through the creation of extendable and re-usable products.
o Design APIs, develop shippable code, documentation and unit test new features for digital products.
o Works with fellow API Developers, Team Leads, Architects to deliver features through the creation of re-usable RESTful APIs.
o Collaborate with Quality, Product and Cloud Engineering teams to keep digital assets fully functional, secure and up to date with business needs.
o Perform pair programming, effectively communicate ideas with the team, assist in systems integration, performance testing and product releases
o Implement policies, roles, data access controls, monitoring events, resolve system and data issues for continuous functioning of APIs
years of experience in iOS App Development using Swift.
- 4 years of experience integrating RESTful APIs.
- 4 years of experience writing unit tests using XCTests and XCUITests.
- Experience with offline storage, threading, performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with localization/internationalization of the applications.
- Experience with security protocols in the mobile applications eco system.
- Solid understanding of iOS Human Interface Guidelines.
- Solid understanding of object oriented and functional programming.
- A team player with a start-up/intrapreneur mindset.
- Experience with CICD pipeline and deploying apps to Apple App store and Testflight.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work in an Agile /SCRUM environment.
- Familiar with frameworks such as React Native, Angular and Ionic.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools - Git (Gitlab).
- Exposure to retail industry, experience with e-commerce applications.
