Job Summary
The Application/Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring customer success by providing exceptional technical support for our ultrasonic metal welding equipment. This position requires a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a passion for solving complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer sample processing / Technical Support:
- Process customer weld samples to support ultrasonic metal welding sales.
- Provide application and machine technical support to customers via phone, email, and remote support tools.
- Travel to customer facilities to provide technical support and assistance.
- Troubleshoot the components of ultrasonic metal welding systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to technical issues and product usage.
- Liaise effectively between the North America sales team, customer service team, and customers to ensure seamless communication and address customer problems promptly.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
- Other duties as assigned
- Technical Documentation
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
- Professional Development:
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ultrasonic metal welding technology, industry best practices, and company product offerings.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in providing technical support within a relevant industry (e.g., capital equipment, manufacturing, electronics).
- Ultrasonic metal or plastic welding experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, hardware and software troubleshooting principles.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and remote support software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to clearly and concisely explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer service oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and challenges.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
