Job Description
As a Staff Accountant with Tech Tammina, you will be responsible for all Accounts Payable functions, including obtaining approvals, supporting documents, and checking for accuracy of coding. This role requires weekly processing of payments, including manual checks and check runs. You will also maintain vendor accounts, address payment inquiries, and perform month-end close of journal entries, which includes monthly accruals, advance payment reconciliations, cost transfers, and pre-payments.
You will assist the Senior Accountant with reconciling lease payments using iLease software, complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations as assigned, and work with Human Resources to complete monthly payroll-related entries. Additionally, you will assist in the yearly budget process and review employee expense reports to reconcile ending balances. You will also maintain and update related audit schedules and assist with the year-end audit.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 5 years accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Strong sense of confidentiality
- Competency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe
