Tech Valley Talent (TVT) has an opening for a Power BI Analyst with GIS/ESRI experience for a 6 month hybrid role in Virginia.

LOCATION: Hybrid; Virginia (onsite one week a month or so)

We are seeking 2 highly skilled and experienced Power BI Analysts with a specialized focus on GIS/ESRI integration to join our growing team. This role will be instrumental in developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights from complex datasets, including geospatial data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Power BI, DAX, M, healthcare analytics and statistical methods, along with experience in GIS/ESRI technologies and a commitment to data security and accessibility.
Day to Day Tasks
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, incorporating geospatial visualizations using GIS/ESRI integrations.
• Develop and implement complex DAX measures and calculations for insightful data analysis.
• Utilize M (Power Query) for data transformation, cleaning, and preparation from various sources.
• Apply statistical methods and predictive analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within the data.
• Implement robust validation procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Design and develop mobile-friendly dashboards optimized for various devices.
• Ensure Section 508 compliance in all developed reports and dashboards.
• Implement and manage data security measures, including row-level security, data masking, and audit trails.
• Configure and maintain multi-factor authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO) for secure access to reporting platforms.
• Maintain source and version control of all analytic components using [Specify Version Control System, e.g., Git].
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective visualizations and reports.
• Provide training and support to end-users on how to utilize Power BI dashboards and reports.
