Tech Valley Talent (TVT) has an opening for a Senior Project Manager with Industrial experience in the energy sector. This position is remote.
DURATION: 2 years with possible extension
LOCATION: Remote; Albany, NY is where client is located so work is in EST - we prefer candidates reside in EST or CST
Seeking a Senior Project Manager to support project management, data analysis, technical review, and reporting for technical assistance and installation demonstration programs.
Must have experience going to industrial sites and meeting with customers to discuss energy reduction.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, environmental, energy, chemical, material science, or other non-IT focused engineering is required
Certification indicating energy expertise such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Professional Engineer (PE), or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is preferred.
Technical knowledge of energy systems and ability to perform and review energy analysis calculations is required.
Strong understanding of industrial energy technologies and energy conservation measures.
Past experience with the Industrial market including touring industrial facilities and engaging with facility staff on their energy usage and opportunities to reduce usage.
Excellent analytical and project management skills with the ability to successfully multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a self-starter who functions well both independently and in teams and demonstrates critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) must be a high-level Excel user, and be able to perform Pivot tables, advanced formulas, and advanced data analysis of complex data sets.
Adept at both technical writing and assessing technical documentation.
Ability to not only manage technical analysis of projects, but to also track contracts and manage budgets.
Capacity to support staff on urgent ad-hoc requests and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholder groups.
Day to Day Tasks
Managing projects from initiation to completion, including scope development, managing schedules and budgets, and technical review of engineering calculations.
Providing clear, concise, and timely technical review comments of energy engineering calculations and reports.
Resolving issues which may arise regarding assigned projects with applicants, contractors or consultants.
Performing advanced data analysis to support reporting, program improvement and new strategy development.
Providing research and assessment of new and complex industrial energy technologies and systems.
Supporting the development and refinement of PONs and RFPs and program tracking and reporting of energy benefits.
Making recommendations for improvements to strategies and business processes.
Participating in the evaluation of program effectiveness, especially as relates to energy savings benefits.
Participating in video team meetings and being collaborative across different communication platforms and teams.
