Tech Wind Services provides specialized wind energy inspection and repair services for the North American market. Our company assists the wind farms during construction, operations, and preventive maintenance to guarantee clean and renewable wind energy power production. Each turbine we work on provides enough energy to power 3, 000 homes per month.
Job Summary: The EHS Assistant will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety team in ensuring workplace safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to regulatory standards.
This role involves assisting in the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs, conducting safety training, maintaining records, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization.
This role will be primarily office-based but will require occasional site visits or fieldwork.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Assist in developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures.
· Maintain and update safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure accessibility.
· Support compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
· Assist with conducting safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
· Assist in reporting and investigating workplace incidents, and accidents.
· Monitor environmental performance and assist with compliance documentation
· Monitor calibration and inspection of safety equipment using the EHS system.
· Maintain equipment records in the EHS system.
· Prepare reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders as required.
· Monitor invoices & calibration records against the equipment in the warehouse.
· Assist EHS team with safety training
· Prepare EHS training slides and video for operations team.
· Monitor JSA (job safety analysis) requirements in work order communication groups
· Communicate safety information to operation teams in the field.
· Monitor forms-on-fire website.
· Track and document employee training records.
· Prepare and review EHS documents for meetings.
· Respond to customer and vendor requests.
· Prepare global safety alerts using incident reports.
· Monitor waste disposal of paints and chemicals.
· Create and maintain chemical inventory list.
· Ensure chemical inventory list is following GHS (Global Harmonized System) standards.
· Perform weekly safety toolbox talking.
· Run errands related to facilities, utilities and IMS (integrated Management System).
· Possibility of working at heights while in the field.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Prior experience in an EHS-related role is a plus.
· Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, or similar regulations is preferred.
· Strong communication skills both written and verbal

- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Will require about 25% of travel to job sites and the field.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass background and drug screening.
