What are the responsibilities and job description for the Helpdesk Technician position at Tech Wizards Inc.?
Location:
- Dahlgren, VA. Day shift (0730-1530)
Security Clearance:
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicants selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Responsibilities:
- Effective use of Help Desk tracking and ticketing system(s)
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Maintaining a professional relationship with all customers and clients in a very busy call center environment
- Providing technical support by responding to and resolving end-user problems
- Installation and configuration of new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software
- Hardware reimaging, set up and support
- Assist with performing proper tracking and disposition of excess property
- Support installation of network cables
- Configure and maintain multiple classrooms/training areas
- Course and account creation, maintenance for instructors and students
- Documenting internal procedures
- Assisting with the onboarding of new users
Experience Description:
The selected applicant must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies.
- One (1) year of Systems Administration and/or IT Support/Help Desk experience and DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification (Security CE) is required to start. Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certificate (MD-100 & MD-101) must be acquired within the first 6 months of start.
