Job Summary
The Regional Human Resources Manager (RHRM) is a proactive business partner engaged in developing and driving human resources initiatives to support business objectives. This role encompasses a broad range of HR support, including performance management, coaching, organizational design, talent development, succession planning, employee engagement, compensation initiatives, recruitment, onboarding, and executing new company integrations. The RHRM collaborates with operations and functional staff on sensitive and confidential issues, ensuring responsive, credible, and technically appropriate execution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partner
- Serve as a key member of the Human Resources (HR) and Regional leadership team, driving people and organizational strategies aligned with regional goals. Will also support the corporate office (Finance, Customer Care, IT).
- Partner with and coach the leadership team through organizational initiatives and cultural change.
- Ensure organizational agility, adaptability, flexibility, and creativity while maintaining stability.
- Anticipate HR implications of key business initiatives and recommend necessary actions.
- Communicate important HR information to business leadership and share business-specific information within the HR team.
- Measure performance against key HR metrics and develop plans for goal attainment.
Leadership and Management Development
- Partner with senior business and HR leadership to create and execute development initiatives.
- Manage the Talent Review process within operations, ensuring a strong talent pipeline and succession plan.
- Focus on management and career development plans.
Human Resources Execution
- Partner with the HR team to ensure service delivery from HR functional areas, including talent acquisition, total rewards, safety, and training.
- Communicate recruitment needs and priorities; ensure job descriptions and titles reflect current business needs.
- Manage performance and employee relations issues effectively to minimize organizational risk.
- Address compensation and career development needs to retain key talent.
- Communicate business initiatives and organizational changes (e.g., acquisitions, growth, staffing changes).
Employee Engagement and Positive Relations
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Promote open communication and feedback channels to ensure employees feel heard and valued.
- Organize and support employee recognition programs and initiatives that celebrate achievements and milestones.
- Facilitate team-building activities and events to strengthen relationships and collaboration among employees.
- Address and resolve employee concerns and conflicts promptly and fairly, maintaining a positive work environment.
Workforce Planning
- Partner with the Regional and Corporate leadership teams to evaluate workforce quality, quantity, and efficiency.
- Review span of control and recommend organizational plans to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Process Management
- Lead the development and implementation of core HR projects and programs.
- Compile and assess business-specific feedback to ensure program design, delivery, and communication meet organizational needs.
Compliance
- Ensure the application of the business’s Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and effective affirmative action plans.
- Ensure full compliance with organizational policies and values, and applicable legislation and regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human resource or business-related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of HR generalist experience with proficiency in multiple disciplines (recruiting, employee relations, compensation, leadership development, succession planning, compliance, etc).
- Licenses/Certifications: Human Resources Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP, or SCP) preferred.
- Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; developed management-level presentation skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Teams, Zoom, etc.
