Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cassandra Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NoSQL databases, particularly Cassandra, and will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Cassandra database infrastructure.
Required
Design, implement, and maintain Cassandra database systems.
Optimize database performance, scalability, and availability.
Perform database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Monitor database health, identify and resolve performance issues.
Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
Strong understanding of NoSQL databases and data modelling.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal database design and usage.
Stay up to date with the latest Cassandra technologies and best practices.
Preferred
Proven experience as a DB developer with a focus on Cassandra databases.
Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization.
Experience with backup and recovery processes.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certification in Cassandra or related technologies.
