A UKG Application Delivery Lead is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software applications, from project initiation to deployment and ongoing maintenance, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and meeting client requirements by leading cross-functional teams and managing all aspects of application delivery while maintaining high quality standards and client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead and manage complex UKG application implementation projects, defining project scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Team Leadership:
Build and manage high-performing delivery teams, including developers, testers, analysts, and technical architects, providing guidance and coaching to ensure optimal performance.
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, managing expectations, and proactively addressing any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Expertise:
Possess deep technical knowledge of UKG solutions, including modules like time and attendance, payroll, HR, and benefits, to ensure effective project planning and execution.
Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather functional and non-functional requirements, translating them into clear specifications for development teams.
Quality Assurance:
Implement robust quality control processes, overseeing testing activities to ensure application stability, functionality, and user experience.
Change Management:
Develop and execute change management strategies to minimize disruption during application upgrades or implementations.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively address issues to maintain project momentum.
Reporting & Communication:
Provide regular status updates to clients and stakeholders, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and project progress reports.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience managing large-scale UKG application delivery projects from initiation to deployment.
Strong understanding of UKG product suite, including configuration, customization, and integration capabilities.
Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
