Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to support our database environment with a focus on MySQL and MariaDB. This role will involve data cleanup, optimization, and ensuring high availability through redundancy strategies such as backups and primary/secondary failover configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform database cleanup and optimization, ensuring efficiency and performance improvements.
- Implement and maintain high availability solutions, including primary/secondary database configurations and failover strategies.
- Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitor and tune database performance, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot database issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database interactions.
- Maintain database documentation and best practices for ongoing database administration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a DBA, preferably working with MySQL and MariaDB.
- Strong knowledge of database optimization, indexing, and query tuning.
- Experience implementing high availability and redundancy solutions (e.g., replication, failover, clustering).
- Proficiency in backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Understanding of database security best practices.
- Experience working in a Linux environment is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
