Job Description:
This position is responsible for the organization, scheduling, and communication of VTC and telephone bridging appointments, optimizing resource utilization. The role provides competent technical support for initial and advanced troubleshooting for staff, and DOD VTC customers interfacing with USFF. Ensuring USFF VTC operational capability at 98% and compliance with all relevant AV and VTC standards is a key responsibility. This includes VTC systems scheduling, facilitation, and consultation for USFF Headquarters, and secondary support to partner DOD organizations. The position involves analyzing, consulting on, and recommending VTC repairs and upgrades, including for the USFF Maritime Operations Center. The role also oversees daily VTC operations, proactively identifying technical and operational issues, and implementing solutions. The position is responsible for ensuring internal security standards are maintained for all USFF Headquarters AV and VTC systems, and independently planning and carrying out responsibilities, resolving complex problems, and keeping government leads informed of controversial issues. The role provides professional multimedia presentation and VTC support, including setup, operations, maintenance, and configuration management of related facilities.
Experience:
Required experience includes:
- In-depth knowledge of VTC operations, management, devices, methods, services, and standards.
- In-depth knowledge of specialized communications processes and techniques for VTC systems.
- In-depth knowledge of DOD and DON communications concepts, principles, practices, procedures, objectives, and techniques for VTC systems.
- In-depth skill and ability to operate complex and modern VTC systems.
- In-depth skill in determining the feasibility of new VTC equipment and techniques.
- In-depth skill in facilitating high-profile AV and VTC requirements for Four Star Military Flag Officers and Senior Executive equivalents.
- 5 years of recent experience in Video Teleconferencing Call management for the DOD.
Education:
- High School or Career Field / Community: Information Technology
Security Clearance:
- Must have an active Secret clearance
