Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to manage our Product Compliance Program and create and maintain controlled documents. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with computers and project management, enjoys mastering tasks, and takes ownership of their responsibilities. You should be confident in decision-making, capable of working independently, and have some college education or an Associate's degree.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform product testing for physical dimensions using instruments such as calipers, rulers, and mandrels.
- Manage and coordinate the sending of samples for third-party testing.
- Oversee and manage material safety data sheets.
- Conduct product inspections to ensure they meet specifications.
- Investigate complaints and non-conforming materials.
- Create and maintain controlled documents.
- Conduct internal audits.
- Prepare scientific reports, including test protocols.
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make informed recommendations on the suitability of data for release.
- Manage the Product Compliance Program concerning Regulations and Directives (e.g., RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, Conflict Minerals).
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Education: Some college coursework or an Associate's degree required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of GMP and ISO QMS.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Visio.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Confident decision-making ability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload independently.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- A background in science or engineering is preferred.
- Sharp visual acuity for examining or inspecting material.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily a desk-based role requiring sitting for extended periods.
- Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
- Occasionally lifting and/or moving spools weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Sharp vision required.
Work Environment:
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
- Noise levels can range from moderate to high.
