Interior Soft Trim Design Engineer
Detroit - Full Time
My client is looking for an Interior Soft Trim Design Engineers to contribute to a high-profile project with a multi-billion-dollar OEM. As an Interior Design Engineer you will play a crucial role in developing the interior components of vehicles, ensuring they are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meet safety standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist with new program development by influencing design, provide tooling estimates, provide material suggestions, participate in risk analysis, help to coordinate drawings, be able to analyze and provide suggestions regarding cost reduction and quality improvement opportunities.
- In-depth knowledge of NVH and Carpet materials, compression mold design and molding processes
- Perform feasibility checks with respect to material, manufacturing & design perspective
- Interior Engineer will work with complete cross functional vehicle development team to define functional requirements, develop component and system DVPR, DFMEA, and releasing system and component performance specifications.
- Releases final designs for manufacturing into Team Center
