Data Centre Technician
Job Type: Contract

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform remote and on-site access to network equipment, including using TL1 commands (bonus).
- Utilize NMS systems to monitor, audit, and troubleshoot network services and circuits.
- Conduct end-to-end service and circuit tracing to verify accuracy and resolve issues.
- Provision new services and circuits, ensuring adherence to configuration standards.
- Execute service and circuit migrations with minimal downtime and effective rollback plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for service activation and validation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, audits, and migration activities.
- Provide clear and concise technical updates and reports to stakeholders.
Qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering, provisioning, or migrations.
- Hands-on experience with NMS platforms (e.g., Ciena, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper).
- Knowledge of TL1 protocol and equipment configuration is a bonus.
- Strong expertise in circuit tracing, auditing, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA) are a plus.
