We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Java and Spring frameworks. The role demands expertise in building scalable REST APIs and processing large datasets using distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark. Familiarity with streaming platforms like Kafka and search technologies such as Solr is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Java/J2EE.
- Implement non-blocking reactive streams using Spring WebFlux for real-time data services.
- Work with large-scale data processing pipelines using Apache Spark.
- Integrate and manage Kafka for real-time data streaming and messaging.
- Build and manage indexing/search features using Solr.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code with a focus on quality and performance.
