Job Description:
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing the supply chain processes to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers. Your primary objective will be to coordinate various aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and order fulfillment. You will play a critical role in maintaining effective communication with suppliers, internal teams, and external partners to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Procurement and Vendor Management:.
· Assist in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
· Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies through daily communication and weekly conference calls. Calls in the evening with vendors as needed in the Asia time zone.
Inventory Management:
· Oversee the entire inventory lifecycle, develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and improve turnover rates. Your role involves analyzing inventory data, forecasting future inventory needs, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability
· Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of inventory.
· Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Logistics and Shipping:
· Coordinate transportation and shipping activities, including freight forwarding and customs clearance.
· Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods to the designated locations.
· Address shipping delays or issues and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Order Fulfillment Support:
· Support Order Management team in processing purchase orders and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
· Ensure on-time and accurate order processing, packaging, and shipping.
· Coordinate with internal teams to resolve order-related issues and inquiries.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
· Collect and analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
· Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain activities.
· Make data-driven recommendations to optimize supply chain processes.
Project Management and Cross-functional Collaboration:
· Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and drive projects forward
· Work closely with other departments including sales, marketing, and finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives.
· Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the supply chain and propose and implement process improvements.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
· Proven experience (2-3 years minimum) in supply chain coordination or related roles.
· Strong understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, and inventory management. Demand planning experience a plus.
· Familiarity with logistics and shipping procedures.
· Proficiency in using supply chain software and tools. Netsuite experience a plus.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different teams and external partners.
· Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.
· Fluency in Mandarin Chinese to streamline communication with vendors with limited English proficiency a must.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
