Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 DOE

Qualifications
Who are YOU?
Environmental Scientist with ten or more years of experience to provide support to the Environmental Services Assistance Team in Denver, Colorado. The position will support the field and geospatial tasks for environmental sampling which includes groundwater, surface water, and other media. Candidates should be able to multitask, be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently, with minimal supervision.
What does your day/week look like?
- Cartographic support utilizing a variety of GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIC Pro, Survey123, and SQL Server
- Developing Sampling and Analysis Plans/ Quality Assurance Project Plans
- Writing Sampling Activities Reports
- Responsible for collection of water samples from lotic and lentic environments
- Operation of GPS and electronic data collection devices
- Operation of Flow Tracker flow meters and other stream discharge measurement devices
- Operation and maintenance of water quality meters
- Collection of groundwater samples using bladder pumps, peristaltic pumps, and bailers
- Collection and characterization of mine waste
- Collection of biota samples (vegetation, fish, birds, invertebrates, etc.)
What do you need for this amazing opportunity?
- BS or BA degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology or related science background
- A minimum of six years’ experience in environmental analysis
- Demonstrate excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
- Legal U.S. citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain state and federal security clearances
- At least 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license and safe driving record
