Senior Machine Learning Engineer Ad Platforms Research
About the Team:
The Ad Platforms organization within Company Technology is responsible for developing and maintaining a high-performance, distributed, microservice-based advertising platform across all of Company s online properties. Our proprietary technology powers ad serving, delivery, campaign management, reporting, and seamless integrations both internal and external to support a world-class video advertising business.
The Ad Platform Research team, a part of Ad Platforms, is dedicated to transforming advertising through AI and data science. Our mission is to optimize and measure every stage of the advertising lifecycle, leveraging cutting-edge machine learning solutions. As a cross-functional team, we focus on delivering end-to-end machine learning and data science solutions to drive innovation.
We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and lead the development of advanced machine learning algorithms for our addressable ad platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience building and deploying machine learning models or data-driven algorithms and will thrive in a proactive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply state-of-the-art AI and machine learning techniques to enhance advertising capabilities, including inventory forecasting, ad pacing, pricing, targeting, and efficient ad delivery.
- Design, develop, and iterate on novel machine learning algorithms to solve complex challenges in digital advertising.
- Lead the architecture and evolution of ad algorithms to improve system performance and effectiveness.
- Develop scalable and efficient approaches for large-scale data analysis and model training.
- Build, deploy, and continuously optimize machine learning models in a production environment.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product managers, and program managers in an open and creative setting.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master s or PhD (preferred) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience working with large-scale machine learning systems at a leading internet company; experience in the advertising domain is a plus.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, statistics, and mathematical modeling.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala, along with experience using large-scale ML/DL platforms and processing technologies.
- Passion for understanding the ad business, applying research to real-world business problems, and driving innovation.
- Experience building data-driven applications and services, with a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven, and collaborative work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in digital video advertising or digital marketing.
- Hands-on experience with CTR/CVR modeling, generative AI, and MLOps.
- Familiarity with feature stores, audience segmentation, and real-time bidding systems.
- Experience with TensorFlow, Kubeflow, or Amazon SageMaker.
Education:
- Master s or PhD preferred.
