Contract Duration: 13 weeks (potential contract extension/temp to perm)
Salary: $26.50/hour
Work Hours: Day 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 14:30)
Material Distribution Tech
- They are going to cross-train in the receiving dock to receive distributions.
- If they are not needed there, they will assist the inventory coordinators.
- Will be utilizing Geniss.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of inventory systems, receiving, warehousing and/or supply distribution using a computerized
- MMIS in a perpetual inventory system within the previous three years
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Inventory and supply distribution management courses
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jack, etc.}
Job Description
Utilizes a computerized MMIS (Materials Management Information System) and associated hardware/ software, to conduct physical inventories, replenishment of supply areas (such as patient care and ancillary areas), receive incoming stock and non-stock freight and parcel shipments, and put away inventory items.
- Prepares and coordinates outgoing parcel and freight shipments.
- This position is also responsible for processing fax, phone, electronic order entry, and walk up supply requests in the MSC.
- Enters data into the MMIS in order to inventory, pick, deliver, and stock products associated with the aforementioned functions, all with a high level of accuracy to ensure accountability for all products and equipment in the MSC (Materials Service Center}.
- Delivers stock and nonstock products, and packages to the appropriate department/ areas.
