Position Type: Part-Time, Remote with Occasional In-Person Workshops
Schedule: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., 3 nights per week
Compensation: $35/hour
Location: Colorado-based (remote with periodic in-person workshops)

Position Overview:
TechNation Careers is seeking a passionate and experienced CompTIA A Instructor to deliver engaging, evening classes to our diverse group of learners. This part-time position involves teaching foundational IT concepts, preparing students for the CompTIA A certification, and fostering a supportive learning environment for ESL learners and New Americans.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Delivery:
- Teach CompTIA A curriculum in alignment with certification requirements.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of ESL learners and diverse student backgrounds.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations and interactive lessons to ensure student engagement.
Student Support:
- Offer one-on-one support to help students grasp challenging concepts.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and resources for improvement.
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve certification goals.
Curriculum and Workshop Management:
- Develop and update lesson plans, incorporating best practices for teaching ESL learners.
- Conduct periodic in-person workshops in Colorado (dates and locations pre-scheduled).
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- Current CompTIA A Certification (required).
- CompTIA A Teaching Certificate or equivalent (required).
Experience:
- Proven experience teaching CompTIA A content, including hands-on labs.
- At least 1 year of experience teaching ESL learners, preferably in a technical subject.
- Familiarity with challenges faced by New Americans in workforce development programs is a plus.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to simplify technical concepts for learners with varying English proficiency.
- Patience, cultural sensitivity, and enthusiasm for teaching a diverse group of students.
- Tech-savvy with experience using virtual classroom tools and technologies.
