Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Training and Intake Coordinator to lead the onboarding and orientation process for New Americans joining TechNation Careers. This role is critical in ensuring smooth integration into our program and serves as the primary liaison between TechNation and partner resettlement agencies. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting immigrants and refugees, have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and be able to balance administrative tasks with relationship management.
As a member of the refugee community, the Training and Intake Coordinator will bring valuable lived experiences and insights to the role, ensuring that our programs remain culturally sensitive and relevant.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding and Orientation:
- Design and implement comprehensive onboarding processes for New Americans entering the program.
- Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize participants with program goals, expectations, and available resources.
- Ensure all necessary documentation and eligibility requirements are completed and verified.
Program Intake Coordination:
- Develop and manage an efficient intake process, ensuring all participants are assessed and matched to appropriate training programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records in the database.
Liaison with Resettlement Agencies:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between TechNation Careers and partner resettlement agencies.
- Collaborate with agencies to identify eligible participants and coordinate referrals.
- Share regular updates on participant progress and address any challenges in collaboration with resettlement partners.
Participant Support:
- Provide ongoing support to participants throughout their program journey, addressing questions and concerns.
- Connect participants with additional resources, such as mentorship programs, community services, or career counseling.
Program Development and Evaluation:
- Gather feedback from participants and agencies to continuously improve onboarding and training processes.
- Assist in the development of program materials, such as handbooks, presentations, and online resources.
- Prepare reports on participant outcomes and program impact for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be a member of the refugee community, bringing lived experience and cultural understanding to the role.
- 1 years of experience in program coordination, administrative assistance, training, or related roles, preferably in a multicultural environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations.
- Experience working with immigrants, refugees, or underserved communities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data management systems.
Preferred:
- Fluency in a second language commonly spoken by immigrant communities (e.g., Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Spanish, etc.).
- Knowledge of U.S. resettlement processes and agencies.
- Experience in curriculum development or adult education.
