Are you a Workday Finance professional with a solid understanding of finance principles and the ability to translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions? We're seeking a seasoned consultant to join our client's team, supporting key stakeholders within a leading asset management and private equity environment.

The Role

As a Senior Workday Finance Consultant, you'll be a strategic partner to the finance community, helping them navigate complex financial workflows and optimize their use of Workday's finance modules. Your expertise will ensure the business derives maximum value from its Workday investment, with a focus on understanding financial processes and user perspectives rather than configuration alone.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with senior finance stakeholders to capture requirements, align objectives, and communicate clearly between finance and technical teams.
• Advisory & Translation: Serve as the bridge between finance professionals and Workday capabilities, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into effective system use.
• Product Insight: Leverage your knowledge of Workday Finance SKUs (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Accounts Payable, Expenses) to guide stakeholders, including familiarity with ABC (Activity-Based Costing).
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamline workflows, and ensure that end-user perspectives inform system enhancements.
• Sector Knowledge: Utilize your background in asset management or private equity to understand fund administration, cost allocation, and portfolio management, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership and finance, to ensure comprehensive and well-informed decision-making.
  
  

Requirements

• Financial Acumen: Demonstrable understanding of finance concepts, transactions, and terminology, ideally within asset management or private equity sectors.
• Workday Familiarity: Strong exposure to Workday Finance modules from a user or advisory perspective (configuration skills beneficial but not required).
• Communication: Proven ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders, articulating technical capabilities and financial requirements with clarity.
• Flexibility: Willingness to operate in a hybrid model, based in Boston (preferred) or New York, with occasional travel to Boston.
• Project Management: Adept at juggling multiple priorities, managing timelines, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
